Hey there!!

How do you like this clipboard?  I just love making these and can you believe there's no stamping at all?  If you're on the fence about buying some of the Stampin' Up! designer paper, you need to order it, you never know what I might do with it next year, just kidding!!

Happy Stampin' Up! Anniversary to me!!

Just a quick note..today was my  5th year anniversary as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  How cool is that?  Teaching rubber stamping & scrapbooking for the past 11 years, in the Kansas City area (Overland Park & Olathe)!!  Did you know I was a Creative Memories Demonstrator before Stampin' Up?  That's an interesting story but let me just say, when eyelets came out, I had to have them in my scrapbooks!   My Stampin' Up! upline is a dear friend to me, but a hobbyist demonstrator, so I'm tooting my own horn, I know a bunch of you can relate.  In honor of my anniversary, let me see some commnents, girlfriends!!!!    Have a goodnight and Happy Stampin!!

Christmas Clipboard

Good morning Stampers!!

This cute little clipboard is another item I'm making for the booth. Isn't it just darling?

I choose this really old picture of Chase and Brook because I had extras and it kinda matched the paper,  cute huh? 

(Sorry the picture isn't the best, I changed my camera settings during the concert and now I don't know how to change it back. I'll add that to my to do list for next week.)

A big "Thanks" to Lise for coming over yesterday and helping me get my goodies ready, you were a huge help!!

Snowman Kisses

Hello!!

Here's another one of my booth items that I'll be selling on Friday (booth is at East Antioch school, if you're local, Shawnee Mission, Kansas).  Isn't it sooo cute?

This week, I'm going to be crazy busy stamping and getting ready for my booth, I'm a tad behind!!! 

My sister left yesterday and we were all over town while she was here!!!!  We went to the Haunted Houses (three out of four) in downtown Kansas City, The American Royal with the rodeo & the Gary Allan concert.  Here's a little picture, if you're a Gary Allan fan (click on it and the image will be larger).

More Fall Festival !!

This was a huge hit last year and I decided that I would make a few to sell.  Not too many.... but they are so pretty in person, I think they may be just what someone is looking for!

Me again, double post Tuesday!!  I got a few cards lately and I just have to share them with you.  Thanks girls, for all the goodies you sent.... I feel so blessed to be friends with all of you! 

I wasn't sure how to post these so I posted them in order that I received them.

The first card is from Flossie and isn't it sooo cute? I love all the detail on this card!! She made a card with the cat and I told her how much I loved them & she sent me this card and some images to play with!  Thank you sooo much!! 

  The next set of cards is from one of my club girls, who is super creative. She even brought a card for everyone at club night.

Reindeer Kit Kat

Good morning!!

Quick post tonight...this is one of the projects I worked on last week.  My plan was to type everyones name on Very Vanilla cardstock & then print it......but, my new printer has a problem printing on cardstock (yes, it's very frustrating).  But this is what I came up with.  Can't you see your name on there?

Dashing Clipboard

Sorry I went missing for  a couple days!!!   I think I posted that I was headed to the CK Convention here in Kansas City and by the time I got home each night I was to tired to stamp.  So, instead I made this really cute clipboard. 

I have to share what brought this on...I go to non Stampin' Up! events, see really cool ideas, then come home and use them with our paper and our product.  I loved the little clipboard but wanted to see what a big one would look like...and here it is. 

If you're a regular on my blog, you've seen other clipboards that I've made, but this one is easier.  I'll share the details but not until after my Holiday Treats Class that's right around the corner.

Now for the details...I'd like to say I put Old Olive ink all over it on purpose but I didn't.  I wasn't paying attention and I dropped the ink pad and it landed right on my paper and then it hit me...it looked good...So I ran it over all the ribbon and paper and I like it!  (When you come to my class, you don't have to to distress it.)  This is a perfect example of how you can fix anything when you mess up!!

All you need to make this Clipboard is some strips of Dashing Designer Paper, one solid sheet of cardstock, assortment of ribbon & Old Olive pigment ink to distress the edges of the clipboard.

Dishing the Dirt.....Who saw "Moonlight" last night?  Wasn't it the best ever?  I cried, of course.  Can't wait to see next week!!!

Update from Stampin' Up!

Great news to share....Stampin' Up! has announced that beginning Nov. 15th, we can sell our stamped items online and at retail stores.  Personally for me, that is great news!!  I'm looking forward to being able to sell some of my booth items to all of you!!!

Other Great News....I started accepting Paypal today!!!  For those of you that want to pay me with credit or debit cards, I can now take them, you just need to sign up with paypal (it's free and very easy, but takes a few days).

Club Projects

Here's the other two projects that we made at club last night. 

The box is a "one sheet box" & it has the "Blessing Mix" inside.  Here's the poem....

The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia, a horn of plenty.  The pretzels represent arms folded in Thanks & Prayer.  The candy corn reminds us that during the first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only five kernels of corn per day because the food was scarce.  The Fruit is a reminder that Thanksgiving is the celebration of the harvest.  The peanuts represent seeds, the potential of the bounteous harvest of the next season if they are planted and well tended.

The food items you need:  Pretzels, Bugles, Candy Corn, Peanuts & Orange Slices (candy)

Micro beads!!

Hello Stampers,

Before I go into the details I want to say, this card looks so much better in person!  The shading it much darker, I guess my lighting makes it lighter..hee hee. 

Can you see the Microbeads in the center?  This is the technique that I'm showing my Stampers Club tonight..... how to add these beads to the center of flowers.  One change I will make is we'll first stamp the Linen Background on the Vanilla before we stamp the flower and we'll sponge with more More Mustard in addition to the Summer Sun.

"Dishing the Dirt"   .....Haunted House was good last night, the girls had fun & believe it or not Chase went too!  He did great!!   I had to be the leader and I wasn't happy about that!  I ask the lady if I could go with another group and she said "no" so I hurried and caught up to the group in front of me.  I'm sure I drove that guy crazy, I kept running into him and grabbing his shirt, pants and who knows what :))   Several times I lost him and I kept saying "where'd you go"....he never answered me :(     Next subject....who saw "MOONLIGHT"?   Another great episode, happy they are giving us some history...can't wait until next week..WOW, did you see the previews?

Tonight I'm taking Brook and two of her friends to one of the Haunted Houses in downtown KC. I know, what am I thinking?  I'm the same person that pushes my baby sister to the front since I'm too chicken to be the leader.  But, I'm only taking them to one, "The Edge". I'm saving the other three for when Deanna (my sister) comes in town in a couple weeks.  It's a tradition that she fly in from Tennessee and we go every year, this makes our fourth.

Quick post

Just wanted to share with you something I made about a month ago.  I was playing around trying to come up with my club projects.  I couldn't do this one because I didn't have 7 sheets of this paper.

Hopefully I'll get to stamp tomorrow. I have a hand full of errands to run but no school on Friday....yippie!!

Blessing Mix

This is one of the cards I started working on last night.  My goal was to see how many cards I could get out of one pack of the "Dashing Designer Paper" and one stamp set.   If it turns out this could be a class in the next couple months!!  (Didn't add glitter yet and it's calling my name.)
