May Birthday Card Club/Kit

Good morning!

I love this card....and the next one too!  I know they are both simple, but there's just something about them that makes me happy :)  I liked them so much I made them in another color.  I'm going to show you the next card and then I need your help.

 

I couldn't decide which I liked best....and I couldn't decide which color I liked best (do you have those kind of days?). The cards use the same supplies, I just turned it around...... And they both fit in a regular medium envelope.

So, I  need your help.  Please let me know which color you like best.  Anyone can vote.....& especially the girls that have pre-ordered. Then tomorrow, I'll add the Kit to my Chic n' Scratch Shack and take more orders.  If the decision is split down the middle, I'll let everyone choose which color they would like, does that sound okay?

A Friends Card

Good morning!

Today's card is one of my favorites that I received at our group meeting a few weeks ago. My friend Julie made this card and I we all know how much I love celery and pink together :)

Card of the Week

Good morning!!

Back by popular demand......a Card of the Week Tutorial :)  I had so many requests after last weeks card that I decided I had to share it with you.  It's super quick & easy and it looks good in every color!   

I've filmed the tutorial....I'm just waiting on the approval.  In the old days (3 months ago) videos loaded fairly quickly, now it's taking several hours.  What are we to do?  As soon as it's available, I'll post it at my Stampin' Academy. And I'll update this post to let you know it's available.

Altoid Tin Kits

Good morning!!

Aren't these darling?  I made altoid tins for every occasion....well....not really....but.... I tried.  Here's what I'm thinking....these tins would make a great gift for any occasion! For example....Mother's Day, Birthday, Baby Gift, Graduation,Teacher/Staff Appreciation, Thank you, Tooth Fairy, you name it.  What does it hold? Gift card, money, change for the soda machine, postage stamps, first aid kit, hotel room key card, even your keys! Personally, I'm taking mine to Convention to hold some cash & my room key.  Maybe I'll even make it to match my notebook :)

Here's the good news......I'm going to sell the kits to make these darling Altoid Tins.  You'll have your choice of color family and I'll post all the details over on my Chic n' Scratch Shack!  It may be Monday before I can get them all posted and when I do I'll update this post with a link.  I'll also film a tutorial of how to assemble it once you've received the kit.

Chic Stands Update

It's official, I'm out of stock of the Chic Stands TM.  But, the good news is, they've been ordered and they'll have a slight change.  When they arrive, they'll have "Chic Stand"TM printed on them instead of Chic n' Scratch. Isn't that great?  I'm excited all over again!  The not so good news is that they take about 6 weeks to get here.  I'm going to continue selling them and update the info to show the shipping will not occur until late May or early June.  If you order them now, your package will be ready to go the day the box arrives (that includes, a Chic StandTM, invoice and a little stamped image).

Thanks again for everything!! It's been a whirlwind around here and I really appreciate all the positive feedback.

Mini Clipboards

Good morning!!

Aren't these little clipboards so cute?  I made these clipboards last night and I made Elizabeth one first since she's the person that was so kind to get them for me.....thanks so much Elizabeth!!!   The L is for Lise, she's been helping me fill orders lately, the A is for me :)  & I also have one for Sandra & Sally.  Thank you all so much for helping me!!

I'm be back later today to post some RAKS.  I'll try to group them so you can get a good look at all of them.  Thank you ladies! 

Okay, it's official, I'm ready for a new catalog....good thing it's coming out in a couple months (August).  I searched my shelves high and low for a stamp set to use on these clipboards. I truly looked at every stamp set in my room and the only thing that I could use was the monogram.  I was really looking for a small cute image to go in these circles.  I'd love to have a little bird or a chick.

Birthday Box

Good morning!

I'm so excited it's Friday....for a couple different reasons.  Number one, my hubby is going fishing this weekend and that means I get to stamp, all day and all night :)))  Chase & Brook will be with me, but you know how teens are.... busy with their own things.

I already have everything cut & ready for club on Monday so that means I get to work on all new stuff for May. And I've got some awesome things coming up.  I came up with a project yesterday that I can't wait to finish & show you!!!

Oops, almost forgot, lets talk about this Birthday box....looks like a card doesn't it?  It's not, it's actually a box and next week I'll share with you how to make  it (let's hope & pray that Veoh has it's issues worked out).  This is the first time I've used the monkey from the Older & Wiser Stamp set (Level 3 hostess set),  he's cute isn't he?

Now time to dish the dirt....for the next four weeks...expect a little TV reminder.....  MOONLIGHT returns tonight :)))))  CBS.. 8pm Central time, right after Ghost Whisperer.  If you haven't seen the show ...you need to Tune in. You can also watch past episodes on Veoh (yes, the entire show).  If you're a Stamper and you're still reading & possibly wondering..."is she going to talk Moonlight" every week".  I promise, I'm not....after they announce Season two...once they give us the green light then I promise to tone it down a bit :)  Plus you know.... Circle Handbag Tutorial

Good morning!!

I finally got a chance to stamp for fun!!  Yesterday I made two more handbags and filmed a video tutorial.  If you liked the May Day Basket I shared on Friday....this is the same bag. 

Had a little trouble loading the video last night so please check back in a few hours.  I'll post a little note here when I get it loaded over on my Stampin' Academy.

The 2nd picture is the same bag I made using our Carousel Notes from the Stampin' Up! Occasions  Mini Catalog (page 7), it's cute isn't it?  I love those Build a Brads too!!

To make one of these bags you'll  need a 6 1/2" circle cutter....or... you can use the Carousel Notes :)

One of a Kind

Good morning Stampers!!

Great news to share with you.....as of today, Stampin' Up! is accepting customer credit cards.  I'm so excited because that will eliminate the fees that Paypal has been charging me and it will also make the process go much faster.  If you'd like to place a Stampin' Up! order through me, all you need to do is provide me with your information and I will place the order.  Very easy & pain free :) and it goes right to your house!

As for my Chic n' Scratch Shack & Class/Kit fees, those will continue to go through Paypal.

Now to the fun part....isn't this card cute? I'm going to make it in every color.  I've made this card before in a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card, but not a 6 x 3....I really love it!!

I took this card right out of our monthly Stampin' Success magazine that we as demonstrators get (only change made was the colors).  And it never fails, it arrives just when I need it most.  My seasonal allergies have been a real pain and I've lost several nights of sleep...as you can imagine my creativity has gone right out the window.  Hopefully the new meds the doctor gave me yesterday will kick in Today :)  I'm working on a really cool class that I'm offering next month and if all goes well....... I'll share details this week.

Tart & Tangy

Good morning!!

Isn't this card cute?  I'm not sure who made it, but it was one of the cards on the table at our last group meeting.  There's a table set up for Show & Share and we all flock around to take pictures :)  Since I'm in a Tart & Tangy mood I decided to show you this one....just kidding.....You know I was gone all weekend & didn't have a chance to stamp.  Whoever made it....thanks for sharing & I love it!

May Day Basket

Good morning!!

Isn't this the cutest thing??  This is my test sample and I can't wait to make one of these with my favorite colors!!  I've had a couple people ask me about a May Day Basket...so here ya go!

It's also another project using those little lunch sacks (3 1/2 x 2 1/4 x 6 3/4).  It's the same bag I used to make the Mother's Day bag.

Altoid Tin

Good morning!!

This is what we made last night at my April Stamp Class!   Isn't it cute?  See that "a"?   Well, that's my new alphabet set that my up-upline gave me on Saturday for promoting to Senior Manager :)  Thanks Mimi!!!  I love it! 

It's the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet set & I discovered on Sunday that if your initial is a smaller letter you can use it with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch (so happy mine is an "a"!!  .... sorry it doesn't work on J, M, L, D, B....basically all the letters I needed for my class...so instead I used the Lovely Labels. It's still very cute!!

Stamp Class Card

Good morning!

Tonight is my April Stamp Class and this is one of the cards we're making.   I bought the Live your Dream stamp set because it had the bird, funny thing is.... I haven't really used the bird much....but I'm sure I will soon!

Yesterday we celebrated Brook's birthday and went to a Japanese Steak House, we laughed so hard!!! Chase caught every shrimp they threw at him, even when they told him to go across the room.  (I did manage to catch one shrimp, the rest hit me in the face :)  I took a picture of the orange they brought us and everyone poked fun at me (what can I say, I wanted it for the scrapbook).

Thanks for all the really sweet emails about how much you love your Chic Stands....when I ordered them.... I was sure scared, almost sick to my stomach, but I just had that feeling, that you would love them as much as I do....I'm thrilled that the response has been 100% positive :))))))  Words can't really express my gratitude!

p.s. do you remember the date that you met your hubby?  I do, April 14th 1990....today...all those years ago :) (he laughs at me for remembering that date, it's also the same day his boat flew off the trailor and went flying down the interstate :O

I'm so excited to show you this card!! I whipped it out real fast because all it is.......is a 3 x 3 envelope card.  Perfect for any occasion, but especially when you're in a hurry and need something quick yet still pretty.  Huge thank you to Patty for telling me how to make this!!  I really appreciate it when fellow demonstrators share (what's that phrase....sharing is caring? is that how it goes?)
