Big Shot Box #2 & a new video

Good morning!!

My box was made with the New Big Shot Box #2 die.  I used the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper with the Cheep Talk stamp set.  The ribbon is one of the Free items you get during Sale-a-bration.  It's the Ribbon Bundle and it's featured on page 5 of the Sale-a-bration brochure.

Animal Crackers stamp set

Good morning!

Today's card is an example of the Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plates.

Don't you love the Animal Crackers stamp set? I wish it said "I quack myself up".....just kidding ...I use both phrases a lot (it's a southern thing...right?).

 I posted a video on my Stampin' Academy last night. If you have any questions, please let me know.

  A few questions have already been ask and I thought I would share them with you.

Q.  Why did you use the rubbing alcohol? 

A.  If you spray the alcohol on your colored cardstock, it makes the embossed image more defined...or you could say "pop". Honestly, the plates work great, just the way they come.  You'll see when you get them :)

Q.  Do I need to buy rubbing alcohol?  

A. No, you do not need it!  But there is a lot of talk about it & I like to get it out there. 

Q.  One extra layer of cardstock, gets the same effect?

A. Yes

Q.  I get 6 templates for one price?

A. Yes, isn't that incredible?  Backgrounds #1 is just $11.95 for 6 patterns and the Plates Kit #4 is just $9.95 for 6 patterns.

Thanks for all the really nice comments you guys left me over the past two days!  I really appreciate it and I have read every single one of them....that's why I'm late posting the winner.  Congrats to Nada!! Chic StandUpdate....I figure I better post it on this blog too :)  they are on backorder....and ....they are being re-designed...New & Improved!!  I expect my shipment late Feb or early March....I think it will be worth the wait and when they arrive you can expect a new video :)

Speaking of videos I've filmed two new ones....do you want to hear that it took me 12 takes to get them?  I swear...the phone rang, the dogs barked, the kids shut a door, the phone rang, the dogs barked. I kid you not!!  I made Chase and Brook come watch them so they could see why steam was coming out of my ears...just kidding...but seriously I was about to call it a day...maybe you'll get a kick out of them knowing how much effort I put into it :)

 The first picture .....I used the Animal Crackers Stamp set with the So Saffron Striped Ribbon. I sponged So Saffron ink after I embossed it with the Backgrounds #1 Texturz Plate.

On the next picture I used the Good Morning Sunshine designer paper with the Cheep Talk stamp set.  I still want to play around with it....I'm missing something :)

What's in the picture? 

 I'm super excited about the Under $10 page in the New Idea Book & Catalog and the Fun Flowers is just one of the items (page 208). Next is what I made for myself and I thought you might like it. It's a keyring with a sample of all the new Texture Plates.  I found that is was easier to keep this on my desk so that I can match it when I'm stamping....good idea isn't it :)  Also notice the three new Striped ribbon colors...I wish we had that style of Striped ribbon in all our colors!

I couldn’t wait to show you this project!! It uses a bunch of new product J

The first item I used is the Bag w/Scallops Big Shot Die. The minute I saw it in the catalog it went right to the top of my wish list!  I’ve made at least 10 of them in all different colors and I’ve even made a few with designer paper J  You have two options…you can leave the sides off or attach them….look at all three pictures to see the difference (see pictures below).

The next item I used was the Texture Plates #4 & the Backgrounds #1.  They are so pretty and you just can’t beat the price!!  I’ve got a few tips & tricks to show you ….coming soon J 

Next is the Polka Dot Punches stamp set….good news for ya….…this is one of the stamp sets you can get Free starting Sunday! 3-D Kit Club

Many of you have been requesting the projects that I post for my clubs.  I love that you are so excited about getting your hands on them!   You are the inspiration for my new club. 

Now is the time to sign up.  The first projects will be ready to go in February!  Let’s get right to the details:

Each month: 

*Place a minimum order of $35 on-line through my Stampin’ Up!  website.  Orders must be placed by the 10^th of each month.

*You'll receive supplies and instructions to make two 3-D projects & they will ship each month on the 15^th.   

*Commit to a 6 month membership.

*There will be a one-time, up-front cost of $30.00 ($5.00 per month) to cover the cost of shipping.  Your project supplies will ship Priority Mail & you’ll get them within 3 days.  You may PayPal that amount or send me a personal check.  After the shipping fee is paid in full, your club membership will begin the following month.  (Example  - if you join now….you’ll start with  the Feb. club projects.  Join in Feb….you’ll start with March projects.

*Are these projects exclusive to this group? No, that's the beauty of this, I'll create two projects a month and all my clubs will make the same them.  That saves me time and allows me to order in bulk.  Don't forget the two projects you are getting are Free...you pay the shipping, but that goes right to the post office.

Cheep Talk stamp set

Good Afternoon,

I love all the birds in the new catalog & the Cheep Talk stamp set has been calling my name all week :) 

My card today is very simple, but I love it and I plan on making at least a dozen to keep around to send at a moments notice.

The other item I used is the Garden Greetings stamp set.  I was very happy they gave it to us at the Managers Reception...... it was already on my wish list!!  I love the font of the sentiments and I know I'll get a lot of mileage out of them.  There are four sentiments and they include:  get well soon, thank you, birthday wishes & friends.

p.s. Thanks for all the well wishes over the past few days!!  I feel better today...but incredibly weak....maybe it's from all the laying around I did yesterday. I watched 2 movies and 7 episodes of Buffy.  Don't laugh... Brook is 15 and I was so happy she joined me in bed to watch them.  She resisted at first saying they were corny but by the 2nd episode she was hooked (even if she won't admit it).  

p.s.s. I had lots of things planned for this past week and now I'm stressing about being so behind. I'll try to get caught up asap.....if I seem a little off ....just ignore me :))) (you know what I mean right?)

Darling Dots & Sweet Little Sentiments

Good afternoon!

I'm a tad late today :) 

I should have known....I paid extra shipping to get my Stampin' Up! order in 2 days and now I'm so busy I don't have time to stamp.  But, watch out this weekend...I swear I'm locking myself in this room.  I'll let you in on a little joke....my family calls my office The Bat Cave.....isn't that funny? I'm not sure how or why Chase started calling it that but it's stuck and now I find myself calling it that too. 

I threw together today's card....it's what I'd like to call my warm up card. Sweet Stems

Good morning!!

Today's card is one of the swaps I took to Leadership.  I used the Sweet Stems stamp set with the Raspberry Tart Designer Paper.  I have two versions, one with a greeting & one without....I like making cards without a greeting so that later I can add one when I need it. 

Thanks for all your well wishes yesterday!!! I think I feel better...but I'm not sure...I slept so much I feel like I'm in a fog.  My tummy has settled but part of my problem was my whole body hurt. I'll try to get caught up today but no promises.

2009 Spring & Summer Idea Book & Catalog

Hi,  I'm super excited about the new catalog and decided to stay up late so I could show you some fun projects.  But, before I show the pictures, please make sure you read the post below.  It has all the details on ordering from the new catalog (on line orders are unavailable from now until noon on Monday, Mountain Time....my Stampin' Up! website will also be down until noon).

The first picture is of the Good Friend Stationery Box we made at Leadership....I love those birds... both the stamp set and the Chipboard!!  It's the Good Friend stamp set and the Chipboard is So Tweet. (cute name too!)

 

 

Next is the card that we made to go in the box.....again I totally love it...but maybe it's just me & birds :)  Wait until you see the owl :)

 

I'll be honest, I've not had the best relationship with the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  But... it works great with this stamp set.  If you're like me....I've had a hard time remembering how to use it.  But, this stamp set is perfect for the Stamp-a-ma-jig and now that I've got it....I won't be forgetting how to use it!! 

I'm so excited I need to do a video....but I need to come up with my own card first. 

Moving right along....after I assembled my Good Friend Stationery BoxI decided to tweak the measurements and find a way to make the box using one sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock.  I made one using solid cardstock and one using Designer paper (I'll show you the designer paper one later this week).  I also made it a little thicker so I could add some candy :)

   Sorry, my picture doesn't do it justice...by the time I was finished it was dark outside & I need to take another picture to show you the side view...I'll do that later today. 

And, I forgot to show you the candy inside. I usedmy favorite "Ferrero Rocher".  This will make you laugh....that's my favorite chocolate candy...but I'm clueless on how to say the name :)))

I'm working on the video and will post it tomorrow (Tuesday).....if all goes well. I have to take Chase to the doctor and have some tests run....he has an ankle that keeps hurting him, we thought it was growing pains (the doctor agreed) but now it's getting worse and waking him up at night.  I'm a little freaked out!!

Sorry it took me all day to get this posted....hope you think it's worth the wait...I do!!  Before I show you the catalog I have to show you a picture of one of the display boards that shows you super cute samples made with the Good Friend stamp set (that's the set we got free with Leadership).  You know how I love birds....well, this one is sooo stinkin cute....seriously...I love it and it stamps very easy.  The cards we made tonight were so cute and I'll show you those soon!!

I love the catalog but let me just say...if you do not own the Big Shot....I'm not sure how you will resist after you see the new catalog....OMG!!  They knocked my socks off with the new additional items...not only do we have new dies but also embossing folders.  Remember the Butterfly on the current catalog?  guess what new die we have???

Another of my favorite new things is the New Circle cutter....we were able to use it today...I already have a project planned to you how easy it works!!

Tomorrow is the first official day of Leadership & tomorrow night I'll be attending my first Managers Reception ...at Universal Studios.

Here's some VIP notes for you.

1.  The Holiday Mini Catalog ends tonight....and the Retired Stamps are no longer available after tonight....and the Blow-out Special ends tonight.  With all that being said....if you want to order any of those items, please do not wait until the last minute!! Speaking from experience....the system may get bogged down and I'd hate for you to miss out on ordering.

2.  Starting at Midnight tonight (Mountain time) the Stampin' Up! system will be down until noon Monday (Mountain time)  During that time they're going to add add the new catalog and update our Demo websites so we can start taking your orders (yippie).  What that means is online ordering will not be available and my Stampin' Up! website will be down ..... from midnight tonight to noon tomorrow.

To help out the system....I'm going to offer Double Incentive points on your Customer Appreciation card if you place an online order...Tuesday, Jan. 20th.  Starting at Midnight Monday & ending at Midnight on Tuesday....&.... I have one other trick up my sleeve but you won't know what it is until Wednesday :)

I'm super excited to show you today's project.  But...I can not take credit for it... Pam Morgan.... showed us how to make it on stage at Leadership and I knew the minute she showed it to us I was going to rush home and make one.  I not only made one....I made about 20 :)  I got a little carried away....you can relate can't you? 

  So, what do you think.....cute isn't it?  I'll show you a picture of it without the Hershey Kisses & then I'll show you a group shot of a few of the others.  And .....later today I'll post a video on my Stampin' Academy.

Leadership Card

Good morning!!

Today's card is one that was posted on the displays boards at Leadership.  Sorry, it's blurry...but I couldn't resist showing this cute card!! I'm not sure whose card it is...but I like it :)

 The Under the Stars stamp set puts a smile on my face and in the new catalog there's a similar set and it's Hit the Road.  When you get your new catalog....check out page 103!!
