Good evening!

What a day I've had!!  The ac in my Trailblazer went out yesterday & today turned into taking it to get fixed & running errands (I'm happy to report it's fixed).   In between all that I managed to get a video made and I'll be posting it in the morning (it's loading on You Tube now).  Make sure you tune in tomorrow afternoon, I'll be posting the details for my annual In-Color Bundle Special.

My Grocery List Notepad was the project I took to the Shoebox Swap on Saturday and it's using two of the new colors, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede.  And, the Wings of Friendship stamp set (a level two hostess set).

Shoebox Swap Card

 

Good morning!

Today's card is one that we made at the Shoebox Swap on Saturday and this was Daveda's card.   I choose to show her card first for a couple reasons. I've already shown you all these products lately & I think I may use this format of card for my July class....we'll see...... I need to play with my stamps a bit more.  

Two of the colors you see on this card will be available Wednesday afternoon (July 1st) and they are Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.  The designer paper is Razzleberry Lemonade and she used the Flower Fancy stamp set.

I had a few girls ask what's a Shoebox Swap so I thought I would explain it.  How you prepare is almost like a class.  You decide your project and then you cut for everyone and bag the supplies for each person.  You bring all your supplies & instructions and everyone goes from station to station making each project. It's a lot of fun, especially because I get to stamp instead of teach (sitting down and stamping really is therapy).

p.s. Yesterday we put the Wii Fit in my office & Chase, Brooke & I played it all afternoon and last night, we had a blast and laughed so hard.  I can't believe we didn't buy it sooner.  Dave walked downstairs when I was attempting the hola hoop, I think it scared him!  I could really get hooked on this game.....if I could get all these teens outta here!! (Chase has two of his friends are here now ....in my office.)

Think Happy Thoughts

Good evening!

My card today reminded me that after June 30th Pink Pirouette will be retired and we'll go back to using Pretty in Pink ( I'll never part with Pink Pirouette).   

Thanks for the card Angela!!  If you're wondering what happened to your writing, I took another piece of pink cardstock & covered it up using some removable adhesive (I always find ways to alter things).

She used the Think Happy Thoughts stamp set and that's been one of my favorites for a while.

Grocery List Notepad

 

Hi,  My project today is the Grocery List Notepad. I love making them & I'll share a little secret with ya, I signed my first recruit years ago, after she made one of these at a Make n Take.

I used the Good Friends stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog with Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip. Club girls....this is one of your July projects.  I'll need to tweak it so it uses available product (I'm sad to see Kiwi Kiss retiring).

I have a photo tutorial that I made a few years ago & I'll  be filming the video tutorial this week. Click here if you'd like to see the photo tutorial I made in August 2007.

  I need to run to Office Depot and pick up some notepads and run to Kinkos and have them cut.  (Don't try the ones from Walmart, once you cut them the adhesive doesn't hold & all the sheets fall out).

Video Tutorials

Just a quick update..... I need to explain some video info.   I was using a video company called Veoh.   I choose them because their videos played in higher quality and they had a family filter.

But, the family filter stopped working.  My videos played okay but the content shown afterwards was shocking to say the least.  I contacted them several times and explained to them that children watched my videos  but I failed to make them fix the family filter.  Anyhow,  my plan was to move those videos and then close my account.  But, yesterday I couldn't take it anymore and I deleted my account.  Some of those videos are not available on You Tube, but, this week I'll load them and get them back on my site.  For now you'll see a box that says video not available but I'll work on it asap!!

Sorry I have to post something so negative on my blog, I hate doing that and I don't usually do it.  But, sometimes by sharing your story you can help others.  Thanks for understanding!!

Angie's note:  Thanks for all the comments over the weekend.  I got some much needed rest and I can finally say I feel better.   I'm so happy to be rid of that headache!  Over the weekend I read three books, did 8 loads of laundry, watched 5 hours of TV, took 3 baths and transferred 120 videos from the Stampin' Academy to Chic n Scratch Live.  (I did not stamp and did not check email.) That may not sound like a break but let me tell you it was!!

p.s.  There were some issues with my Stampin' Academy.  

#1 The spelling was not in compliance with Stampin' Up!  The rules state that we are not allowed to use Stampin without the G on a web address. June 28th update, a few people have emailed me and said this changed in Oct. 2008....I'm not 100% sure.

#2  I've always thought that Academy = Classes  (you may see this in the future with the correct spelling....... not to worry I have the domain).

Punch Pages & Instructions

Hey there,   I'm happy to say I'm finished with the Punch Pages & Instructions and they're loaded on my Chic' n Scratch Shack. Click here to go there now.  You'll find all the instructions located on the left side bar.  

I've had several people ask me how I prepared them so I thought I would let you all download one for free.   Since the Alligator is my favorite after I accidentally made him buck toothed in my video I decided that he would be the free one.  (Watch the Bloopers #2 video if you want to see the buck toothed Alligator, I'm still cracking up over that one!!) 

 Click here to download the Alligator Punch Page & Instructions.  The first three pages are the list of product and instructions and the last page can be printed on white cardstock and cut out to put in your Punch Book.  It should fit pretty well in a 6 x 6 page protector.

p.s. I really didn't want to say this....but I had to go back to the doctor yesterday. I felt good for two whole days and then I got sick all over again.  My doctor gave me a much stronger medicine and I'll be on it for two weeks.  I hope this clears it up, if I not I'll have to go see the Ear, Nose & Throat doctor.  It's such a weird sinus infection & I can't wait until I feel normal again!!! (Sinus headaches are the worst!!)
