Calendar Coaster Corkboard

On Saturday we made a Calendar Coaster Corkboard on UStream.  And .... I couldn't resist making a few more.

For the picture above i used the Nursery Suite Specialty Paper with Pear Pizzazz Stitched Ribbon.

The picture below I used the Elegant Soiree Designer Paper with the (Retired) Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon.

For this project I used the Heavy Weight Coasters but you could also use the Medium Weight.

Play Date Coaster Calendar

Doesn't the Play Date Designer paper work perfectly with the Rectangle Coaster Calendar?  As I was filming the video yesterday...it came to me that we had paper with numbers on it :)

I used the same supplies as the project yesterday.....the only difference being the designer paper.

Photo Coaster Ornament

Good afternoon,

My project today is an Photo Coaster Ornament that I made using the 4" Circle Coasters. You can use either the Heavy weight or Medium weight and if you're looking for them you can find them on my Chic n Scratch Shack.  Click here if you'd like to go there now.

They're really easy to make them and you can make a bunch real fast.  I used the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper and I cut it in a 4 x 4 square.  Apply adhesive to the paper and attach it to the Coaster.  Trim the extra paper off and then sand the edges with a Sanding Block.

The Round Tab punch works perfectly for the top of the ornament and you'll need around 16" of White Taffeta Ribbon.

This is a picture of Chase & Brook back when they were really little (if my memory serves me correct, that was 1998).  Brook has red paint on her nose because she was in a Christmas play at preschool.

Extra Notes:  Today is my Stampin' Up! anniversary.  I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for 7 years :)   And today is the internet's birthday.  The Internet is 40 years old today....isn't that interesting?

Coaster Letters

Good Afternoon,

If you watched my video from yesterday on how to make the Password Books...I told you I would post a video on how to use the Light Weight Coasters with your Big Shot Die Cut Machine.  I just posted it on my Stampin' Academy, click here  if you'd like to watch it.

I used the Serif Essentials alphabet right out of our Stampin' Up! catalog and I also used a really old Sizzix set that I bought several years ago...in fact it was my very first die.  (The alphabet is Fun Serif Small.)

p.s. 8 more days until we leave for the Stampin' Up! Rectangle Coaster Password Book

I used Medium Weight Rectangle Coasters and you can find them on my Chic' n Scratch Shack and they measure 3 7/8 x 5 3/8. 

For Savanna's book I used the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet with the Pacific Point Ink. I also used the Kiwi Kiss Striped Ribbon & the Stampin' Up! scallop circle punch.

Recipe Book - Password Book

Good morning,

My project started out as a Password Book but then....it changed to a Recipe Book.  My niece Cora will be 10 years old & I was on the phone with my sister and she was telling me how Cora has been watching her cook and writing down her recipes...so I stopped in my tracks and switched gears.

This Recipe Book has lots of details...I'll try to explain them quickly.  The cover and backside is made with the Medium Weight Rectangle Coasters & I covered them with the Delicate Dots Designer Paper.  Cora's name was a Light Weight Coaster that I cut into 4 pieces and then punched out with my Big Shot & an alphabet die (I popped them up with Dimensionals). 

 Do you recognized the alphabet?  Oh my gosh....I've had it forever...it's the Fun Serif Alphabet and I remember when they came out (many years ago) every week I drove as fast as I could to use my one coupon so I could get a new letter that week.  It took me a while but I managed to get 3 whole alphabets.  If you have those dies....hang onto them...they work great in the Big Shot.  I was able to run all four letters through at one time.....quick & easy ...I love it!!

Did you know I'm the person that came up with using the  Rectangle Coasters? (I placed that first custom order and took a chance hoping they would sell).  The main reason I ordered them was to make Password Books...but then after getting them I had other ideas....and I forgot to revisit my original idea.  Some days I scare myself....a year later I'm just now getting around to it :)

Monogram Notepad :)

Good morning!!

Today's project started out as a Christmas Wish List....but then I couldn't resist making a new notepad for myself.    The "A" is the Serif Essentials Big Shot Dies (they are perfect for scrapbooking!!) and the scallop circle is from the Pennant Die.

Good news....New Coasters have arrived...This project was made with Medium Weight Rectangle Coasters. If you're using the "Bind it All" you might want the medium weight...it's a little thinner and easier to use. Click here if you'd like to order coasters.

I used the Ski  Slope Designer Paper to cover the front, back and inside of my notepad/wishlist.
